APTA / SAA 2008 Indaba Educational Trip May 5 – May 15

Indaba Educational 2008

the APTA Executive Board, with many accommodations and special events and sponsored by our Corporate colleagues. This cooperation made the Educational a great success.
Our accommodations were hosted by the Franschhoek Hotel and Spa in Franschhoek, Mandela Rhodes Place in Cape Town, Protea Umhlanga Rocks (just outside Durban) and in Kruger Concession areas at Lukimbi and Shishangeni Lodges. In Durban, Rovos Rail and South African Airways hosted a gourmet dinner on the moving train - a very elegant evening.
One of the goals this year was to get as many participants as possible who had: a) never been to Africa, b) never been to South Africa and c) never been to Indaba. Nearly 50% met all three criteria and about 80% had never been to Indaba. It is always a joy to share the wonders of discovery with those who are experiencing seeing things for the first time.
