Our Mission A

APTA is a volunteer, nonprofit organization of Travel Professionals.

It is the goal and purpose of APTA to promote tourism to the continent of Africa and its Islands. APTA will seek to improve tourism to Africa through the education of its members.

Dear APTA Members:

Where has 2011 gone?! A chaotic beginning with natural disasters and political uncertainty in parts of the World, as usual, things we could have not predicted. We must never forget there are so many things in this industry we cannot control or change, but what makes us who we are and why we are here is our ability to adapt, be flexible and turn a negative into positive. Just like our animal friends in Africa, it is survival and we continue to survive. Looking through our web site you will find the history of APTA as told by our organization's founders, which gives some insight as to just how much we have survived over the years.

Africa is hot now and the trip of a lifetime for most clients. As APTA Members we have the advantage with the knowledge, expertise and contacts to sell Africa better than anyone else in the industry, so let's use this to the best of our abilities and get out there to promote and sell our destination!
