DINNER PROGRAMS
APTA has been very successful in offering a series of African educational dinner programs. These programs feature guest speakers, new sales tools, destination and production presentations, door prizes, and networking potential with your professional peers that opens the door to more profits. Guidelines for Guest Speakers
The APTA chapters voted and approved at the 2000 National Forum that guest speakers at any APTA function should be provided with the following guidelines.
1)Individuals who are not affiliated with APTA membership are permitted to make a presentation at APTA meetings as long as they are not in direct competition with a corporate wholesaler. Guest speakers are encouraged to be an APTA member.
2)Emphasis must be on enabling the travel agent to sell destinations to the continent of Africa including Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands.
3)No comparisons are to be made with the competition.
4)Specific references to your company's marketing programs is limited to five minutes maximum, i.e. brochures, commissions, incentives and etc. .

BOARD MEMBERS
Board Members are elected yearly from member volunteers. Each position serves for a three-year term. Generally, two new members are elected annually. After the elections, the elected Board members decide which position would best suit their talents. The National Board meets twice a year. Members of the Board also attend the annual APTA National Forum where delegates from each chapter have an opportunity to network.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP LIST
APTA Corporate membership allows you free access to the individual membership list. Please contact the Corporate or Individual Membership Chairperson to receive a copy of mailing labels or to arrange for an email list to be sent to you.
Please remember! One of the benefits of becoming a Corporate Member is to have access to our members. It is in your best interest to protect our database. The following confidentiality clause will be attached with each list.
APTA CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE
The membership database is a CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT, and should only be utilized by an APTA Corporate Member. It is not permitted to sell or distributed the list to third parties and it should only be used for promoting travel to the continent of Africa.
Any electronic distribution to APTA Members must be done as a BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) format.
APTA asks you be sensitive to any Member requesting to be removed from your mailings or e-broadcasts.
The data is compiled based on the updates received from each local chapter and is only accurate as provided by the respective chapter. APTA will not be able to provide updates to e-mail address that may change or have already changed.
The APTA membership list is updated quarterly.
NEW CHAPTERS
Each year the national board strives to reach more travel professionals nationwide, in doing so APTA continues to expand by opening new chapters. Corporate members are encouraged to work with APTA in opening these new chapters APTA asks that you make your key travel agents aware of new chapter development, get them involved your company stands to benefit!

Annually the National Board selects a project to support in Africa (and local chapters). Corporate members can submit worthwhile projects for consideration. Contact the Corporate Chairperson.
