Membership Categories

At the 2011 National Forum in Chicago, it was decided to simplify the membership structure into two categories: Corporate Members and Individual Members.

The following two membership categories apply to Corporate Membership and Individual Membership

The "Associate Membership" and "Multi-line Representative" options have been deleted. The following payment structure applies

APTA Corporate Membership

$350 per annum

Corporate membership is open to any government tourist office, corporation or company actively engaged in the travel trade industry that is interested in promoting travel and tourism to Africa . Corporate Membership remains $350 per year, and an additional $50 listing fee applies for each additional staff member, regional sales manager, or other representative. Similarly representation, PR and marketing companies will be charged $350 for corporate membership, and $50 for each company/client listed under "Additional Listings" on our online form.

APTA Individual Membership

Individual membership is open to all travel agents who would like to join an APTA Chapter in their respective area of business or the closest regional chapter. Membership fees vary according to the different chapters.

General

There is no qualification or evaluation process for members wishing to join the organization therefore APTA cannot be held responsible for any corporate, multi-line, associate or individual member's actions. All members are subject to the bylaws of the organization and the APTA Executive Board has the sole right to accept, refuse or cancel a membership at anytime. All membership dues are paid for the current calendar year and are renewable on an annual basis.
