Sacramento Valley APTA presents Summit Expeditions and Nomadic Experience

Sacramento Valley APTA presents Summit Expeditions and Nomadic Experience on May 8 at 6 pm. Dinner is $16 for members; $20 for non-members. RSVP to Sue Brown before May 2 at travelingsue@sbcglobal.net or (530) 661-4726.

The seminar is at the Aviator Restaurant, 6151 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento. The speaker, Simon Mtuy, is the world record holder of the fastest ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro, plus he is very involved in "Leave No Trace" and the environmental issues facing his region and beloved mountain. Simon feels it is very important to involve his clients in his community directly, sparking interest and support for the much needed development in the areas of organic farming, HIV-AIDS education, and the Porter Fair Wages Project.

The presentation will cover the African itineraries that Mountain Travel Sobek offers, with an emphasis on their Tanzania programs.
